Lenovo has expanded its IdeaPad range with three new notebooks, namely IdeaPad U110, IdeaPad Y510 and IdeaPad Y710.
The IdeaPad U110 Notebook features an eye-catching design and is mainly designed for fashion-conscious users. The 11-inch wide notebook is equipped with VeriFace Face Recognition that enables users to log in easily without having to remember passwords. Dolby Home Theatre and the MultiMedia Control Center deliver better sound quality on notebooks too.
A 120 GB hard drive, up to 3 GB of memory, Intel Centrino processing technology, a built-in camera, WLAN, Ethernet and Bluetooth (select models) connectivity, an external DVD burner and the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium operating system are specifications of the U110. Further its battery life is up to eight hours. Also the notebook is equipped with Lenovo’s Active Protection System that adds extreme durability from fall by temporarily parking the hard drive, so that the notebook is protected in case of a fall.
The U110 notebook is available at a price range starting from $1,899.
“Since we unveiled the new line of Lenovo IdeaPad notebooks in January, we’ve added several new relationships, helping expand our strategy to reach new customers through online retailers, or ‘e-tailers’, the fastest growing consumer purchasing space, and regional and national retailers,” said Scott DiValerio, president, Americas, and senior vice president, Lenovo Group.
“We’re confident the much-anticipated IdeaPad U110 notebook will give customers a unique and rewarding computing experience, helping them record, share and transform their ideas,” he added.
IdeaPad Y510 is a 15.4-inch wide notebook having a black, textured linen-like top cover that helps hide smudges, and wear and tear. IdeaPad Y510 is suitable for all types of activities from word processing to photo and video editing, claims Lenovo. WLAN connectivity, a large hard drive, fast processing power, a built-in camera and DVD burner are some of the other features of the notebook.
Lenovo Y510 will be available at the price beginning from $669.
And finally, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y710 notebook has been designed especially for the entertainment enthusiasts. It boasts of a 17-inch widescreen and up to 500GB for storing multimedia files. For an ultimate gaming experience, Lenovo offers the notebook with Game Zone, which means that the notebook features oversized directional buttons and other buttons that can be customized for easier control in the fast environment of gaming. It also features a secondary display showing information such as CPU speed.
The IdeaPad Y710 will cost $1,099.
