The Lenovo IdeaPad U series ultra notebooks and S series mini laptops are here for fans of portable computing made lighter. Close on the heels of the IdeaPad U300s announcement, the company expands its Ultrabook portfolio with the addition of the U310 and U410 models.
The U310 and U410 laptops are sleek at profiles measuring 18mm and 21mm, correspondingly, while they tip the scale at 1.7kg and 1.9kg, respectively. The former wears a 13.3-inch HD 16:9 display and just like its counterpart, incorporates an HDD of up to 500GB or up to a 64GB SSD. The Ultrabook U310 is complete with the integration of Intel GMA 3000 HD graphics, while the U410 embeds 1GB Nvidia GeForce 610M graphics.
Basking in Lenovo’s Windows 7 Enhanced Experience tuning and Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology, the U310 and U410 notebooks are fueled by the Intel Core processors. Delivering up to eight hours of battery life, both the models come dipped in shades of cherry blossom, aqua blue, ruby red, sapphire blue, spearmint and graphite gray to choose from.
Next up are the S series mini laptops which include the S200 and S206 models that intend to cater to folks looking for computing solutions somewhere between the netbook and notebook. Each of the offerings is adorned by an 11.6-inch HD widescreen and measures out to be 0.81 inches thick. Weighing about 1.3kg, the devices incorporate Accutype keyboards and are both coated with a high quality tactile finish.
The S200 features up to 32GB SSD storage and lands integrated with an Intel Atom dual core processor. On the other hand, the S206 houses an AMD dual core processor. Complete with specs such as a 0.3M HD webcam, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on select models, the mini laptops offer up to 4 hours of battery life on a single charge. Hues such as crimson red, electric blue, cotton-candy pink, pearl white and graphite grey drench the newly announced range.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U series ultra notebooks and S series mini laptops are slated to release in the months of May and June, respectively. The former range will be obtainable starting from $699, while the latter should begin retailing at a price of $349.
