Lenovo is soon to join big players like Apple, Samsung, LG and HTC by offering a premium smartphone, the Golden Warrior S8, dressed entirely in the color gold. The handset is yet to go official from the company, but it has been listed on a retailer where its entire design has been detailed along with features and price.
GSMArena has spotted the Golden Warrior S8 on Vopmart where the phone is currently being sold for $199.80 with global shipping. The device is designed with an aluminum alloy frame and it has a 7.9mm thick form factor with a weight of 146 grams. The rear panel is removable and it’s made from a metal fabric with a textured design. On the front, a 5.3-inch HD LTPS display has been fitted with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The overall look of the phone is pretty alluring and there are some really good features on the inside. The MTK6592M octa core chipset from MediaTek based on the Cortex A7 with Mali 450 graphics takes care of all processing needs and there’s 2GB of RAM for smooth functioning. Where storage is concerned, the company has thrown in 16GB of flash memory and there’s a slot for a microSD card as well. Other welcoming features of the handset are dual SIM card slots, a 2000mAh battery and a 13MP rear camera. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, however, is a disappointment.
The Lenovo Golden Warrior S8 is expected to be unveiled soon and we’ll hopefully see it reach global markets with the same alluring price tag of just under $200.
