Newly leaked images of upcoming LG G4 show bold design choices

It’s time for the LG G4 rumor mills to pick up steam, and these live photographs which claim to be of the said handset are contributing to just that. Four images of the alleged handset have popped up out of nowhere, and have given us a glimpse of the bold new design choices which the company has apparently gone for with this year’s flagship.

Firstly, the vertically curved display which was hitherto limited to the G Flex range seems to have found its way onto the LG G4 as well. A close look at the photographs reveals that the curve is indeed present in a slight form, as had been reported earlier.

LG G4 Alleged Images

These photographs have been uploaded by an XDA Developers member who has pointed out that the first pictures is clearly showing that the handset features a slot for the stylus as well. If this is true then LG definitely wants to take on the Galaxy Note smartphones from Samsung this year with its new offering.

Something more that’s noticeable is that the phone features really thick bezels. According to us, this really takes a lot of design points away from the alleged G4. While the color of the rear-mounted volume and power keys matched the shades of the phone’s body in last year’s models, this year’s flagship will seemingly be going for black keys apparently.

The LG device shown in the picture runs the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS, but its other specs haven’t been disclosed. A past leak had however told us that a Snapdragon 810 chipset will be highlighting its components, along with a 16MP camera and a QHD display.

The LG G4 is expected to be unveiled this May, but those interested in knowing more about it can keep their eyes peeled for leaks and rumors that are popping up from time to time.
