The Lava Iris 402e smartphone has finally gone on sale in India and as we predicted, it’s tagged below the Rs 5000 mark. Well, the phone is priced at Rs 4999, but you can purchase it for a much lower amount online.
The Lava Iris 402e is currently retailing for Rs 4199 on Flipkart, while HomeShop18 has listed it at Rs 4570 but is yet to put it up for purchase. Being an entry-level option aimed at first time Android users, the device offers quite an appealing design, albeit it comes in a single shade only (black).
Android 4.2 Jelly Bean runs the show and the company has preloaded the handset with support for 10 regional languages, half of the number the Micromax Unite series offers. The other main attractions of this phone include dual SIM support and a 1GHz dual core processor. Memory-wise, there’s 512MB of RAM, 512MB ROM and a microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB.
The front flaunts a 4-inch WVGA display and a VGA lens, with the rear sporting a 3MP camera accompanied by an LED flash. The main snapper can record videos in 720p HD. Apart from this, there’s a 1450mAh battery and various connectivity features such as AGPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but no 3G support.
