Projected to be a blend of the Acer Ultrabook and the Aspire Timeline by the company, the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra range is all set to debut in the first quarter of 2012. The series will be graced by gadgets with screen sizes of 14 and 15 inches.
For this line-up, the manufacturer highlights the inclusion of technologies like Green Instant On and Always Connect. Acer Green Instant On takes care of fast boot process and quick resume. Users should be able to get on with their work on the concerned notebook in a time span of 1.5 seconds, and the integration also offers a battery life of several weeks. On the other hand, the Acer Always Connect technology is aimed at providing access to most applications like Outlook email, Facebook, Twitter, and others, quicker than usual.
Incorporated with the latest Intel Core i series processors, this new range by Acer offers a battery life of over 8 hours and features a two-spindle design in an Ultrabook. The PowerSmart long-life battery pack apparently delivers three times the life cycle as compared to conventional batteries, while thermal technology for cooling down the device lets users feel comfortable even with the notebook placed on their laps. Apart from this, each of these laptops also includes a slim DVD-Super Multi optical drive, an SSD/HDD storage option, and Dolby Home Theater v4 surround sound. Exhibiting a thickness of merely 20mm, the chassis of the Ultrabook sport an HDMI as well as a USB 3.0 port.
The Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra price is still under wraps. However, the company should begin shipping it in this quarter itself.
