The Acer Aspire S7 series Ultrabooks US price and release date details reveal that the devices of this range will be making their appearances in the country this month itself. According to the company, the S7-191 and S7-391 notebooks are as slim as tablets and probably the thinnest touch-based Ultrabooks.
Encased in an anodized aluminum unibody exterior, the Windows 8 devices feature a multi-touch IPS display of 1920 x 800p resolution with viewing angles of up to 178 degrees. The 13.3-inch S7-391 and the 11.6-inch S7-191 variants feature a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating and can withstand fingerprints or smudges. Users can even change the image orientation of these touchscreens using a hotkey and tilt the screen down to a 180-degree angle.
Equipped with the TwinAir cooling system, the Aspire notebooks are outfitted with an electroluminescent (El) backlit keyboard that adjusts brightness levels on the basis of the ambient light. Additionally, they employ third generation Intel Core processor and RAID SSD, besides a lithium-polymer battery.
The S7 series devices are pre-loaded with Acer Theft Shield, Acer Instant Green On, Acer Always Connect and AcerCloud. Their connectivity options are inclusive of a microHDMI connector, a USB port, VGA input and a RJ45 output.
