For business users who are constantly worried about battery life when mobile, the new HP Folio 13 Ultrabook is capable of wrapping in around 9 hours of activity time on a single charge. What’s more, it holds various security options tucked under the thin and lightweight design.
Obtaining its high performance juice from the second generation Intel Core i processors, the HP Folio 13 can quickly boot up through Intel Rapid Start technology. Additionally, it comes equipped with a 13.3-inch HD BrightView display, a backlit keyboard for working when there’s an inadequate supply of light and the HP TrueVision HD webcam for capturing bright and clear pictures.
“This category of product breaks new ground and will be a likely choice for businesses to offer to employees looking for a more consumer-centric experience. We expect Ultrabooks will re-ignite interest in the small form factor PC category, and by 2015 expect 95 million Ultrabooks will be shipping worldwide annually,” expressed Crawford Del Prete, executive vice president, Worldwide Research Products, and chief research officer, IDC.
In dimensions, the notebook measures less than 18 millimeters and weighs around 3.3 pounds. For connectivity and storage, it holds RJ-45 as well as USB 3.0 ports and a 128GB SSD for quickly accessing stored data. To provide business users an added benefit, the series is accompanied by the HP CoolSense technology and the HP ImagePad with multi-touch gesture support. The TPM Embedded Security Chip for data protection, will come bundled with one specific HP Folio model that’s expected to launch in January, 2012.
The HP Folio 13 price tag starts at $899.99 and it should hit stores this year on December 7.
