With the UK now well into its 4G boom, more and more affordable LTE smartphones are popping up in the region, with the £149 Kogan Agora 4G being the newest one among them. The aim of such devices is to provide consumers with alternatives to the high-end phones with steep price tags that are otherwise needed to latch on to 4G speeds.
Equipped with a modest array of components, the Kogan Agora 4G will let its UK users access high-speed LTE data, however only on EE or Three. That’s because it holds just the 700MHz, 900MHz and 1800MHz bands inside it. So those loyal to other carriers will have to make do with 3G speeds if they decide to purchase the handset.
This neat smartphone is highlighted by its 5-inch IPS LCD display which offers its visuals in 720p HD resolution. It runs the Android 4.4 KitKat OS, none less, and is fueled by a 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. 1GB worth of RAM and 8GB of internal storage find their way into it as well. Moreover, the phone grabs an 8MP camera as well, apart from a 2MP front-facing snapper.
