Earlier this month, Kingston sailed to India and extended its portfolio in the country with a pair of new Class 10 microSDHC cards that came in two capacities namely 4GB and 8GB cards. The company now offers a new product christened as the new HyperX Plug and Play (PnP) series of high-performance memory. As suggested, the latest entrant is the premier modules in the market to reach higher memory heights which are part of the second generation Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs.
The new memory options are claimed to offer quicker frequencies as well as the ability to ‘play’ at 1600MHz or 1866MHz when ‘plugged’ into a system using the Sandy Bridge chipset. This is accomplished on both notebook and desktop PCs. They are programmed by employing JEDEC-compliant settings. The system is touted to automatically recognize quicker memory speed without anymore BIOS settings.
“The HyperX engineering team has been thoroughly innovative in designing a memory module that automatically raises performance with no overclocking steps required,” commented Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, Kingston. “By using JEDEC-compliant settings to create performance timings, enthusiasts can max out native frequencies on current Sandy Bridge systems and older DDR3 machines.”
A better performance is acquired with automatic overclocking with the latest product. Furthermore, the different variants are noted to be backwards compatible with DDR3 systems that made their way into the market much earlier. The simple Plug and Play attribute is claimed to be as easy as plugging in the memory and then switching on the machine.
Kingston HyperX Plug and Play series comprises of KHX1600C9D3P1K2/8G and KHX1600C9D3P1K2/4G which are respectively 8GB and 4GB 1600MHz Non-ECC DIMM @ 1.5v. These two offerings are individually priced at $122 and $67. KHX1600C9S3P1K2/8G and KHX1600C9S3P1K2/4G are 8GB and 4GB 1600MHz Non-ECC SODIMM @1.5v priced each at $122 and $67. Finally, KHX1866C11S3P1K2/8G and KHX1866C11S3P1K2/4G are 8GB and 4GB 1866MHz Non-ECC SODIMM @ 1.5v tagged at $163 and $88 respectively.
The new products from Kingston Technology can be acquired with a lifetime warranty as well as free 24/7 technical support.
