The Motorola Razr V will soon slice its way to Canada drenched in a DuPont Kevlar outer shell, the telecom company has revealed. Marketed as ‘the Razr for all,’ the smartphone brings along an HD-capable camera and the Smartactions app. Recently it was made known that the Ice Cream Sandwich device would enter Asian countries.
Sporting a really thin profile at just 8.44mm thick, the Razr V has a scratch-resistant screen and an ‘invisible nano-coating’ to protect against that inescapable splash-onto. In addition to being strong, the phone can boast of a high resolution 4.3-inch ColorBoost display. It also proudly exhibits a fixed-focus VGA webcam on the front, while tucked away on the rear is an 8MP camera which allows capture of HD content at 1080p and features auto focus and LED flash.
“We’re thrilled to launch another Razr into the Canadian market,” Michelle Digulla, general manager, Motorola Mobility Canada, beamed. “Motorola Razr V will be available through a wide selection of channels – bringing the iconic Motorola design and smarter smartphone experience to Canadians.”
With the Smartactions app, users can personalize their phones for everyday tasks. It helps extend battery life by altering the phone’s settings to save up on whatever little juice remains and can even be configured to go silent when in a meeting and auto-reply to calls and texts. Besides these intelligence features on the phone, users can upload their favorite captured moments to Google+ and Facebook.
In terms of the Motorola Razr V price and release date details, not much has been divulged yet, but we do know that the Razr V is scheduled to touch down in Q3 this year. Interested buyers can pick it up via Bell Mobility, Best Buy, Virgin Mobile, Future Shop, Wind Mobile and a few others.
