Karbonn has released a new smartphone for the Indian market called the Titanium S5 Ultra which has gone on sale exclusively through eBay at Rs 6999. The handset is as its name would suggest an upgraded version of the S5 which went official in March last year.
While you would expect the Karbonn Titanium S5 Ultra to at least be a modest upgrade over its predecessor, that isn’t the case here. The handset does have a new design and it even runs on a new version of Android, 4.4 KitKat. However, the main hardware has remained untouched even after a year, except for the battery which is now of 2000mAh capacity (just 200mAh more).
Additionally, there are a couple of more versions of the handset carrying similar hardware like the S5+. The S5 Ultra continues to provide a 5-inch display with qHD 960 x 540 pixel visuals. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor and offers dual SIM support with 3G connectivity.
