Karbonn Titanium Octane and Octane Plus get price cuts in India

Karbonn has decided to make its Titanium Octane and Octane Plus smartphones more alluring for potential buyers in India by reducing their price tags. The local OEM is probably feeling the heat as brands such as Xiaomi and Asus have been proving to be quite popular in the handset market.

The Karbonn Titanium Octane was originally launched at Rs 14490 which is quite an alluring price. With the reduction, the device is now available for Rs 11990 which is a pretty good drop of Rs 2500. The Octane Plus on the other hand, was tagged at Rs 17990 and will now sell for just Rs 13990 after a Rs 4000 cut.

The two smartphones were launched back in March along with the Titanium Hexa which hasn’t received an official cut, but is selling via multiple retailers at a reduced amount of Rs 13990 from its Rs 16990 launch price. The Octane handset offers a 5-inch HD display with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The phone is powered by a 1.7GHz octa core processor and features 1GB of RAM as well as 16GB of internal storage. Apart from these components, the device is also fitted with dual SIM slots, HSPA+ 42Mbps, a 2000mAh battery, a 5MP front snapper and a 13MP rear camera. The Plus model is a bit on the beefier side.
