Just as expected, Google has taken the wraps off three Android One smartphones in India dubbed the Karbonn Sparkle V, the Spice Dream Uno Mi-458 and the Micromax Canvas A1. Amongst the trio, the first device is carrying a price of Rs 6399.
The Karbonn Sparkle V is a pretty attractive looking smartphone and unlike most handsets from the local OEM, this one comes with on-screen navigation keys instead of physical ones. The device falls in the entry-level segment and runs on the latest version of Android, 4.4.4 KitKat.
Visuals are delivered via a 4.5-inch 845 x 480 pixel display and there are dual cameras, 2MP on the front and 5MP on the rear. As expected, a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek processor is onboard, while memory provisions are at 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM and a 32GB compliant microSD card slot.
Quick roundup of the Karbonn Sparkle V handset specs:
– OS: Android 4.4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Android L)
– Display: 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS panel
– Processor: 1.3GHz quad core
– Connectivity: Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS
– Memory: 1GB RAM, 4GB storage, 32GB expandable
– Battery: 1700mAh

With these features and an alluring price tag, the Sparkle V and the other Android One phones position themselves as attractive alternatives to the Remdmi 1S from Xiaomi and Motorola’s Moto E. Most importantly, software updates are handled by Google itself, so you can be sure to get the latest Android has to offer without waiting around for the OEM or carrier.
