Just in: Xiaomi to start offering the popular Mi 3 phone in India this Diwali

The Xiaomi Mi 3 is to date, the most affordable flagship-class device the Indian smartphone market has encountered and if you’re pouting over not having been able to land a unit before it was pulled, well then what we’re about to say will certainly get you excited. The Chinese OEM is bringing the handset back to the country and it plans to do so around Diwali time.

91mobiles is reporting that the company’s India head, Manu Kumar Jain, disclosed this information at the Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) in Bangalore. The Xiaomi Mi 3 was pulled from the market back in August, a week before the hugely popular Redmi 1S went on sale.

As you probably know, the phone wasn’t discontinued, despite numerous reports stating so, but simply put on hold so that the company could focus entirely on offering the smaller sibling. It was only a matter of time that the Mi 3 would head back to the market and you can expect to see the Redmi Note go on sale as well, sometime next month.
