According to the makers of the Jawbone Big Jambox wireless portable speaker system, it’s got ‘state-of-the-art audio technology’ to deliver a rich sound experiences. This claim is backed by the advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm and the exclusive LiveAudio attribute for deriving a three‐dimensional audio effect.
Being Bluetooth enabled, the speaker system is capable of wirelessly connecting to mobile devices such as tablets, smartphones and computers. Through this, users will be able to stream music as well as movie and game audio and even make calls. For enhanced activity life, the company has thrown in a built-in rechargeable Li‐ion battery pack which is said to provide up to 15 hours of continuous playback or 500 hours of standby on a single charge.

For added flexibility, the system can be paired with multiple Bluetooth devices. This should allow users to stream content from different gadgets and also control the music. There are a few buttons allocated to the audio accessory as well, for carrying out functions like pause, play, skip songs and adjusting the volume.
The Jawbone Big Jambox price stands at $299. The wireless portable speaker will be available for purchase in the US starting May 15, 2012, through AT&T, Best Buy and Sprint, as well as the company’s website. Potential users will also have a choice of color options such as red dot, white wave and graphite hex.
