KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is back with a trio of notes about the trio of iPhones coming our way this year. There’s a mix of old and new information to be found, filling in a more complete picture of what to expect.

First of all, it seems Japan Display will be supplying about 70% of all LCD panels for the 6.1-inch low-cost iPhone. Speculation suggests that Apple will be utilizing the firm’s Full Active LCDs which feature very narrow bezels. Face ID and Animoji will both be in attendance, as will the notch. A 2850mAh/2950mAh battery could be present inside.

Kuo claims the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will start somewhere between $700 and $800. As for the second-gen 5.8-inch iPhone X and all-new 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus, the pair are both apparently getting 4GB of RAM and a 2-cell L-shaped batteries for 10% extra capacity. In the case of the latter, this could mean a 3300mAh – 3400mAh unit.

The OLED iPhone X and iPhone X Plus probably won’t be radical departures from the first-gen iPhone X. Kuo doesn’t think there will be any major improvements made to the TrueDepth camera system until next year. He’s still positive on the trio though. He believes that all 3 will sell well, especially the entry-level 6.1-inch iPhone.

This makes sense, especially since the $999 price of the current iPhone X isn’t doing it any favors. However, those opting for the cheaper 6.1-inch LCD iPhone might have to bid adieu to 3D Touch, live with a single camera, and deal with 3GB of RAM.
