Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition models have officially landed in India a bit earlier than expected. The company had said the pair would be arriving in May, but it looks like it decided to bring the phones to the country slightly ahead of schedule.
You can now place pre-orders for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition via Flipkart. The e-commerce site says the duo will go up for sale on April 30. The former starts at Rs 67940 for its 64GB iteration and goes up to Rs 81500 for its 256GB one.
The iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition ups its numbers to Rs 77560 for the 64GB option and tops that off with a Rs 91110 cost for the 256GB version. These are much higher than the rates for the regular iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus on Flipkart, but there’s a reason for that.

Apple raised the prices of its entire product portfolio back in February 2018 after the government raised the customs duty for imported items. The aforementioned figures are all the official costs of the iPhone 8 series. However, Flipkart is still sticking to the original rates for the non-red iPhone 8 variants and offering discounts on top of that as well.
