With rumors going haywire that the iPhone 7 won’t ship with a home button, an artist has now jumped the gun and has come up with a few concept images showing how such a handset may look. In this design, the front of the device is nothing but the screen, with the vertical and horizontal bezels both having been given a kick.
The iPhone 7 has been imagined to feature a curved display as well. And with no home button onboard, the concept tells us that the handset may rely upon a software-based approach for serving its functionality. This adheres to what a recent leak had told us about the next-gen iPhone taking advantage of the 3D Touch panel as a replacement of the home button.
The design concept you’re seeing in the space below has been created by Marek Weidlich. He has also predicted that the Apple device may ship with the facility to allow exchangeable back covers.
The question on many people’s minds is that if the home button is removed, what happens to the Touch ID sensor. It has been rumored the trusty old fingerprint reader will be moved towards the side of the iPhone 7.
Battery will of course be one more factor which the Cupertino giant will be looking into, with its newest range not having come with any big improvements in that department. Besides, it is being said that the next-gen Apple smartphone will ship with a body just 6mm thin.
The thing is, based on all these predictions, we’re going to see several iPhone 7 concept images and videos popping up over the course of the months leading up to the device’s actual launch which is most likely to take place next September. So, you better stay tuned for more if you’re interested.
