In a day and age when most flagships out there are offering 32GB of storage on their base models, the iPhone 6S will prefer staying old school by including a 16GB option in its range. The setup will be same as that of the 6 and 6 Plus range; so interested parties will be able to purchase the Apple smartphones in the form of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB options.
The two new iPhone 6S models will be made official on September 9, and are expected to be sold at the same prices as those of their predecessors. They are supposed to come equipped with a host of new features.
According to Mac Rumors, an analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities has told investors via a note that the iPhone 6s handsets will be equipped by Apple with an improved front facing FaceTime camera that will feature a 5MP sensor. He has also said that a Force Touch display and a fresh rose gold color option will indeed form part of their offerings.
From past rumors and leaks, we have learned that the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will come fitted with advanced 12MP cameras that will finally support 4K video shooting. This sensor will be accompanied by a 5-element lens as well, thus enhancing its photographic abilities furthermore.
There were rumors of a smaller iPhone 6c being readied for release by Apple this year as well. However, a recent report had pointed out that the company has apparently foiled those plans, and has even decided to discontinue the 5c model.
