Intex goes ultra-cheap yet again with Aqua KAT smartphone, tagged at just Rs 2999

A rupee less than Rs 3000 is how much you’ll need to spend if you want to own the Intex Aqua KAT smartphone in India. This dual SIM handset supports 3G connectivity, and while it’s already available for purchase online, it is yet to be made official by its maker.

The Intex Aqua KAT runs the Android 4.4 KitKat OS which is the next best option to the 5.0 Lollipop software, which is yet to invade the budget smartphone category. A 2MP camera can be found housed on the back of this device, sitting beside an LED flash.

Moreover, its front has been blessed with a low-quality camera of its own – a VGA unit to be exact. There’s not much you can expect from a phone that costs just Rs 2999, so there’s no surprise that a 4-inch WVGA display has been granted to it by Intex.
