Intex Aqua Air II features a 5-inch display, but runs KitKat

There’s a new entry-level smartphone on the block in the form of the Intex Aqua Air II which has its price set at just Rs 4690. The drawback is that it runs the outdated Android 4.4 KitKat OS, and does not even promise an update to the Lollipop version.

The new Intex Aqua Air II has gone for a 5-inch TFT display which showcases its visuals in a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. This panel has received some protection in the form of Corning Gorilla Glass. The insides of this smartphone are being highlighted by a 1.2GHz dual core MediaTek MT6572W processor which is assisted in its operations by 1GB worth of RAM.

As for the storage, it is taken care of by an 8GB ROM which is of course accompanied by a microSD card slot for further expansions of up to 32GB. The Aqua Air II has even been blessed with a two-camera system featuring a 2MP rear unit and a 0.3MP front one.

Intex has blessed it with a 2300mAh battery pack which is able to enable up to 4 hours of 3G talktime and up to 6 hours of 2G talktime. Sized at 145.5 x 72.8 x 9.9mm, it has its weight set at 154gms.

The new Intex Aqua Air II has only been listed on the company’s website for now, but we’re sure it will arrive in the market in the coming days.
