Twitter simpler search to make life less complicated for users

Twitter Simple Search

‘Twitter simpler search’ should pretty much sum up the recent tweaks that have been made to the social networking and micro-blogging website. From now onwards, users will be given a hand with search owing to the autocomplete, suggestions and spelling corrections features that have been added to the portal.

First and foremost, Twitter members won’t have to find themselves typing out an entire search term anymore. While words are entered into the search box, relevant tweets, accounts, images, articles and videos will pop up. The intended query may be picked from the drop-down menu once the term being looked up is suggested, taking away the need to type out the entire thing.

“We’re constantly working to make Twitter search the simplest way to discover what’s happening in real time. To that end, today we’re introducing search autocomplete and ‘People you follow’ search results to twitter.com. In addition to recent improvements like related query suggestions, spelling corrections and more relevant search results, these updates make it even easier to immediately get closer to the things you care about,” says a post announcing the change, on the official Twitter blog.

For users who tend to misspell terms way too often, the introduction of spelling corrections is welcome. But the icing on the cake has to be the ability to launch a search query and only see results from the people being followed. It truly is a handy way to get into conversations and this addition has now joined All and Top tweets.

Twitter simpler search with related search suggestions, spelling corrections and search autocomplete has been launched for the Android and iOS apps too.
