The newly announced special edition Mad Catz Cyborg R.A.T.7 Albino gaming mouse claims to be a fresh spin on the R.A.T.7. The original apparently boasts of having the Guinness World Records’ ‘World’s Most Customizable Mouse’ title to its credit.
The pale hued peripheral arrives with a matte albino white finish and hence the name. The enhanced features cover its tracking capabilities as well as a 6,400dpi sensor. Looking more like a small piece of machinery than anything else, the new R.A.T.7 is designed in a way that should suit gamers who prefer to ‘palm’ the exterior and even those who simply use a ‘claw’ grip.
“Our range of Cyborg R.A.T. gaming mice continues to perform impressively at retail and show sustainable longevity in the range. We recently announced compatibility with Mac OS via a free download and we are excited to introduce the special edition Albino model which we believe will allow us to continue our strong growth in this sector and keep us at the forefront of gaming technology,” remarked Darren Richardson, the President and CEO of Mad Catz.
The pinkie grips and palm rests are interchangeable and users get three of each. This R.A.T. of a mouse can also be weighed down with up to five 6gm weights, while gamers who don’t like being bothered by the weight may opt to stow these away in the supplied storage container. Four custom dpi settings, five programmable buttons and three Cyborg modes just add to the list of personalization options delivered by the device.
The special edition Mad Catz Cyborg R.A.T.7 Albino gaming mouse can be pre-ordered through the company’s online portal at present. And while supplies last, customers will get a free Cyborg G.L.I.D.E. 7 for PC and Mac bundled into the packaging.
