MTV Games along with Harmonix are set to spice up the Rock Band franchise with many songs belted out by various artists and bands this month. Among that array, players can espy rock legends Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers gracing the franchise with six more live tracks as well as Phoenix making their Rock Band debut.

The six pack of live tracks offered by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers coincide with their latest album release dubbed The Live Anthology. All the tracks in the ‘Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Live Anthology Pack 02’ are plucked from the same album that hit shelves back in November. The songs included in the pack are ‘A Woman in Love’, ‘Century City’, ‘Nightwatchman’, ‘Breakdown’, ‘Jammin’ Me’ and ‘The Waiting’.

French alternative rockers Phoenix hit the Rock Band franchise for the first time. They bring along with them two of their songs namely ‘Lisztomania’ and ‘1901’ taken from their 2009 album entitled Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Finally, Philadelphia-based rockers Silvertide bring to the array ‘Blue Jeans’. This song is plucked from their 2005 album called Show and Tell.

Each track is priced at £.99 or 160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 while the Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Live Anthology Pack 02 can be purchased for £4.99 or 800 Microsoft Points. For the Wii gaming console, each song is 200 Wii Points. All the above mentioned tracks are already available on the Xbox 360 and Wii while PS3 owners can lay their hands on the offerings tomorrow.
