At the VidCon 2010 conference on July 9, the broadcasting website announced that users can now easily view their favorite videos in 4K (a reference resolution of 4096 x 3072), a commendable video quality hike from full HD 1080p to 4096p. The 4096 x 3072 pixel size is nearly four times greater than 1080p.
Just to notify, the ideal screen size for a 4K video is 25 feet which is now offered to users on their desktops or PCs. Well, users will require super-fast broadband connections in order to enjoy engrossing videos played in 4K at the comfort of their couch.
To view any video in a source resolution greater than 1080p, users can select ‘Original’ in the video quality pulldown menu and start enjoying their favorite flicks with a sense of supreme quality.
