Apple has reportedly joined hands with News Corp in order to offer Twentieth Century Fox movies on rent through its iTunes Music Store.

This agreement will allow users to rent Fox movies. Users can watch movies by downloading them for a limited period of time. Users will be charged according to the duration for which they have downloaded the movie.

As of now Walt Disney is the only company which is selling its movies through iTunes. However, Disney does not rent the movies through Appleā€™s iTunes.

This deal is expected to be officially announced at Macworld, which will begin on January 14, 2008.

Moreover, Apple is suspected to be in talks with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Paramount and Warner Bros for similar kind of deals.
