iConvert for iPad surfaces, brings forth portable scanning capabilities

iConvert for iPad 1

The iConvert for iPad recently unveiled by Brookstone, showers the Apple iPad with user-friendly scanning capabilities. This tablet companion is expected to start shipping from next month and has already hit pre-order status for now.

Users will be required to download the iConvert app from the iTunes Store. This should get half the work done since the iPad has to simply be docked onto the scanner after that. A post on Cult of Mac shares that the front feeder can be adjusted between 2 to 8.5 inches to fit in hard copies of receipts, photographs, contracts and more which are required to be scanned by users. The copies are then saved as JPEG files on the tablet’s picture folder in image resolutions of 300dpi.

After the slab has been placed on the gadget, the free downloaded app gives step-by-step instructions like save, scan or delete to get the process going. The e-versions of old receipts, cards and other normal sized paper can be saved in the tablet’s gallery. Even sketches created by toddlers in the family can be shared with relations and friends in an instant. Various documents can also be edited directly on the iPad itself. The sleek scanner sports a portable form factor so users on the move can easily carry it around in their backpacks without any hassle.

iConvert for iPad 2

Arriving for the Apple iPad and the iPad 2, the iConvert can be pre ordered on Brookstone for a price of $149.99, while it is expected to begin shipping on February 1.
