iBall has come up with yet another tablet for its vast Slide 3G lineup, the 7803Q-900, which isn’t the usual 7-inch slate, but 7.85 inches wide with dual SIM support. The tablet has gone official with voice calling functionality as well, and an MRP of Rs 13,999.
Design-wise, the tablet looks quite a lot like Apple’s iPad mini, but with a plastic rear panel. The display offers visuals in 1024 x 768p resolution and is accompanied by a 2MP webcam for voice calling and taking self-portraits. You’ll find the usual set of hardware on the inside that can also be found on almost every budget-friendly smartphone on the market. A 1.3GHz quad core Cortex A7 processor from MediaTek delivers the steam, while Android 4.2 Jelly Bean runs the show.
There’s an entire gigabyte of DDR3 RAM available and 16GB of storage which is quite surprising as you’d normally get 4GB or 8GB of flash storage. A microSD card slot is also available supporting up to 32GB and there’s USB OTG for connecting peripherals. Being dual SIM compatible, you can connect to HSPA+ 21Mbps networks on both SIM cards. There’s also AGPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The slate a 2MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera with LED flash. A 4000mAh battery is also onboard.
