At the London event which saw Huawei unveiling its P9 and P9 Plus handsets, the P9 Lite was nowhere to be seen. However, hands-on images of the alleged devices have leaked out into the open, suggesting that it could very well be made official in the coming days.
Since it’s the ‘Lite’ version of the Huawei P9 handset, it will be letting go of its prime feature – the dual camera system. Instead, this unannounced smartphone will apparently adopt a 13MP rear camera with a single LED flash module.
Below this snapper on its rear surface will be a fingerprint scanner, as can be seen in the hands-on images released by the source of this news, Hi-Tech Mail. The P9 Lite will supposedly feature a 5.2-inch display which will offer its visuals in 1080p full HD resolution at a pixel density of 423ppi.
Selfies will be taken care of by its 8MP front camera, whereas the power management duties will be handled by a 3000mAh battery pack. The chipset which this Huawei smartphone will carry at its heart is still unknown. As for the memory though, it has been speculated to come in 2GB and 3GB RAM options.
The Chinese company has just unveiled its P9 and P9 Plus handsets to the world, and they are grabbing quite some attention thanks to their Leica-branded dual camera system consisting of two 12MP snappers. While one among them captures colored visuals, the other does monochrome imaging. This apparently allows the final photos to feature better colors than usual.
We’ll have more on the Huawei P9 Lite as soon as additional details about this purported device are out into the open.
