Huawei’s Honor V9 has made it out of China into Europe as the Honor 8 Pro, carrying a different name but the same specs and looks. The handset starts at a £474 (roughly Rs 38400) price tag and will be sold in the UK, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.
Huawei is placing a special emphasis on the Honor 8 Pro’s VR capabilities, claiming that its Quad HD 5.7-inch display delivers cinema-level visuals. It’s bundled the phone with the Jaunt VR app and Google Cardboard headset to make the leap to virtual reality more convenient for users.
The Honor 8 Pro’s main showstopper is its dual 12MP rear cameras. One shoots in monochrome and the other in color. The two combined are supposed to ensure higher-quality snaps. There’s also a wide aperture mode, laser autofocus abilities, and support for UHD 4K video.
