We’ve been hearing a lot of murmur about the Huawei P9 lately, and this time, it’s the Chinese company itself that has spoken about it. Without naming the device, the firm has put out a teaser that shows the units P and 9 together, with their empty spaces having been filled with two camera lenses.
There’s no questioning that this is definitely an allusion to the rumoured two-camera setup that will form part of this offering. However, we’ll have to wait until April 6 to get any official details about it, as that’s the date on which the phone is supposed to be unveiled.
The teaser image above has supposedly come from the Weibo account of Zhu Ping, Huawei‘s President of Consumer Business Unit in China. And it seems like there are going to be more such images as we lead up to the launch of the much awaited device.

Leaks have told us that the P9 handset with ship with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, and run on its maker’s very own Kirin 950 chipset. It will kick in 3GB worth of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage space apparently.
The dual camera setup on its rear is expected to support two 12MP snappers. As for the front, a 5MP front unit has supposedly been granted to the device. It’s being said that Huawei has pushed inside this handset a 3000mAh battery, and yet managed to keep its thickness down to about 6.4mm.
Most likely, Huawei P9 won’t be the only smartphone that will be unveiled on April 6, as rumors have even talked about three other variants of it existing in the wild.
