Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are all about their cameras, pricing revealed

Huawei P9

The eagerly anticipated Huawei P9 and P9 Plus handsets have finally been made official, and as expected they are being highlighted by their dual camera setup. Developed in associated with Leica, this imaging system helps in better color capture and low-light performance.

Both the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus feature this dual camera setup, consisting of two 12MP cameras. While one of them is dedicated to capturing colored visuals, the other is in-charge of snapping black-and-white or monochrome images.

According to Huawei, this combination will help the device deliver better colored images with extra contrast and lighting data that’s only made possible by the monochrome sensor. And then of course, the same sensor will also help capture more detailed and raw black-and-white images.

P9 Camera

There’s a dual LED flash onboard the P9 and P9 Plus, but these smartphones lack optical image stabilization. f/2.2 lenses with 27mm fields of view have made their way into them, aside from laser autofocus.

Talking about the Huawei P9, it features a 5.2-inch 1080p LCD display, whereas the Plus model goes for a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED panel. A major difference that the P9 Plus bears with its smaller version is the adoption of a pressure sensitive display like the one of the iPhone 6S range.
