Huawei Honor V8

The Huawei Honor V8 has finally been unveiled in China, staying true to rumors which had predicted a P9-esque dual-camera setup without the Leica branding. Unfortunately, the manufacturer hasn’t announced when exactly the phone will be made available outside its home base.

Huawei is selling the Honor V8 in 3 different configurations. The base model is priced at CNY 2299 (roughly $353 or Rs 23500) and sports 4GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM and a 1080p screen. The second goes for CNY 2499 (approx $383 or Rs 25500) and ships with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM, NFC and a full HD screen.

Finally, the most expensive of the lot is up for CNY 2799 (about $430 or Rs 28600) and offers 4GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM and a QHD (1440 x 2560p) screen. The Honor V8 has been stuffed to the brim with high end specs. It’s pretty big at 5.7-inch in terms of display size and runs on the brand’s top-of-the-line octa-core Kirin 950 processor.

The headline-grabbing feature of the Huawei phone is of course its twin-snapper system, reminiscent of the company’s flagship P9. The two 12MP shooters are accompanied by laser autofocus, a BSI sensor, an aperture of f/2.2 and dual-tone LED flash. There’s also an 8MP lens on the front surface for selfies and video calls.
