Cricket’s portfolio of smartphones has been further augmented with the addition of the Huawei Mercury. Claiming to offer an enhanced user experience, this ‘fastest and most powerful’ handset from the carrier is now available at authorized retail stores, dealers and the official Cricket web portal in the U.S.
The feature rich device crams in a 1.4GHz processor and lets users launch multiple applications on this stylish handset. The front panel is dominated by an FWVGA multi-touch display spanning 4 inches. Sporting dual cameras, the phone boasts of a front facing VGA webcam, whereas the back is dotted with an 8MP camera. The primary camera possesses features such as auto focus, LED flash and video recording capabilities, while the front facing snapper facilitates video conferencing.

This Android powered Huawei phone comes with 2GB onboard memory and is pre-installed with the email application that lets users view personal as well as business emails. The support for 3G networks enhances the web browsing experience, while the integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi allow it to communicate with a number of other gadgets. It also supports up to five devices as a mobile hotspot. Besides providing access to a number of applications on the Android Market, it is also pre-loaded with Google Mobile services.
The Huawei Mercury price and availability details have been disclosed. It is up for grabs through the carrier for a price of $249.99 and requires a $55 per month smartphone service plan.
