Huawei has launched the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, and Mate 20 RS Porsche Design flagship phones at a massive event in London. It also took some time out to launch the Huawei Watch GT and Band 3 Pro.
The Mate 20 series is packed with high-end specs and innovations (but no headphone jack), so it comes as no surprise that none of them are cheap. The basic Mate 20 starts at EUR 799 (approx Rs 67800) for its 4GB/128GB option and goes up to EUR 849 (roughly Rs 72100) for its 6GB/128GB model.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro Price
The Mate 20 Pro ups the stakes to EUR 1049 (around Rs 89100) for its sole 6GB/128GB variant. Both the devices are up for sale in Europe at the moment. Huawei India has confirmed that the Mate 20 Pro is coming to India soon in a tweet.
The Mate 20 X is priced at EUR 899 (about Rs 76300) for its 6GB/128GB variant and will go up for sale on October 26. Finally, the leather-clad Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design maxes out at EUR 1695 (roughly Rs 144169) for 8GB/256GB of memory and EUR 2095 (approx Rs 178191) for 8GB/512GB of memory.
If you want to expand on any Mate 20 device’s memory, you’ll have to purchase Huawei’s special Nano memory (NM) card. It takes up 45% less space than a microSD card. Rates and storage aren’t public yet, but they’ll probably cost a pretty penny.

The Mate 20 Pro carries on the legacy of the P20 Pro’s widely-praised Leica-engineered triple camera setup in a snazzy new design. Each of the lenses is arranged inside a prominent black square, with an LED flash unit keeping them company.
The main snapper is a 40MP unit with a wide-angle lens and f/1.8 aperture. The second unit is a 20MP lens with an ultra-wide angle format and f/2.2 aperture. The third unit is an 8MP lens with 3X telephoto skills and f/2.4 aperture. Huawei is hyping up the trio’s AI abilities, with features like AI Image stabilization to handle low-light environments.
One unique aspect of the Mate 20 Pro is its 4200mAh battery. It can not only be charged wirelessly, but also charge other devices wirelessly through contact. The brand has also equipped it with SuperCharge to help it fuel up to 70% in 30 minutes.
Huawei’s equipped the smartphone with both 3D Face Unlock and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Intriguingly, the 24MP 3D Depth Sensing Camera at the front can apparently scan objects in the real world and render a 3D digital version of it in their handset. Users can then project it onto their surroundings in AR. This sounds advanced, but we’ll have to see how this works in practice.

The Mate 20 is a step below the Pro model. It makes do with a 6.53-inch LCD 2244 x 1080p screen, a 12MP + 16MP + 8MP triple-camera setup, and 4000mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Mate 20 X is a super-sized gaming phone with a massive 7.2-inch 1080 x 2244p OLED display, 5000mAh battery, graphene cooling system, the same triple-camera setup as the Mate 20 Pro, and an optional M-Pen stylus.
