The Huawei Honor 6 Plus smartphone has been out in China since December last year, but it’s only now that the company has decided to introduce it in India. This powerful device will be launched in the country on March 16, and that’s when we’re expected to get some information regarding its price and its release date.
The Huawei Honor 6 Plus acts as a successor the Honor 6 handset that was launched in September last year, exclusively through Flipkart. While it was originally being sold at Rs 19999, its retail value was later lowered down to Rs 17999 by its makers.
The Honor 6 Plus offers a larger display than its predecessor and changes things in the camera department as well. It has been equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p full HD monitor, while its rear surface plays home to dual 8MP snappers that serve a similar function to that of HTC’s Duo Camera setup. Surprisingly though, its front camera is also of 8MP resolution which is great news for selfie enthusiasts.

Huawei makes its own Kirin chipsets, which is why it doesn’t have to look towards Qualcomm and MediaTek for processor solutions. A HiSilicon Kirin 925 chipset has been granted to this device, offering octa core performance, 3GB of RAM and a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU.

A quick glance at the specs of the Huawei Honor 6 Plus:
– Display: 5.5-inch, 1080p full HD
– Processor: 1.8GHz octa core Kirin 925
– OS: Android 4.4 KitKat
– Memory: 3GB RAM, 32GB storage (12GB expandable)
– Cameras: Dual 8MP cameras on rear, 8MP on front
– Battery: 3600mAh
Along with the Huawei Honor 6 Plus, the Chinese company is also expected to launch a range of budget 4G LTE smartphones on March 16, so stay tuned until then.
