HTC’s four new Desire smartphones for the US go easy on your wallets

Desire 626, Desire 626s, Desire 526 and Desire 520 are names of the four new HTC smartphones that the company has launched in the US. These devices are supposed to be made available in the form of prepaid as well as postpaid packages by carriers in the country soon. Although their prices are not known at the moment, they will certainly fall in the affordable category.

All four of these HTC Desire handsets are fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset bearing a 1.1GHz quad core processor and 4G LTE support. Moreover, they run the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS that’s coated of course with the Sense 7 user interface.

Let us first take a look at the Desire 626 which is strangely also available in Asia with a Snapdragon 410 SoC. It offers a 5-inch 720p HD monitor, and grants the benefits of an 8MP main camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. A 2000mAh battery, NFC support, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage are some of its other highlights.

Its slightly downgraded variant is the HTC Desire 626s which goes for just 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable memory. While the display and the battery remain the same, its 8MP main camera is accompanied by a 2MP front snapper rather than a 5MP one.

With the Desire 526, you’ll get a 4.7-inch qHD display and an 8MP main camera. Its selfie unit has 2MP capacity, whereas the memory department is handled by 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. A 2000mAh battery powers this handset from within.

The pricing and availability details of these four HTC Desire smartphones will be announced in the days to come.
