We’ve seen multiple upcoming HTC smartphones get leaks and so far, the existence of the new One M9 flagship has only been confirmed. Well, the Taiwanese company has now started teasing a second device which could very well be the One M9 Plus that has been rumored several times already.
A tweet from the company’s official handle says ‘something huge’ is coming. Obviously, HTC is talking about new hardware here and we’ve got three candidates for this position. Firstly, the OEM is rumored to be working on new tablets, but we don’t expect to see them shop up until Q2. Then there’s the One M9 Plus which offers a WQHD 2K display of 5.2 inches.
This HTC handset can be considered as the successor to the One Max, but it really isn’t big in size. Then we have the new flagship Desire phone which is under development with the A55 branding. It is said to carry a 5.5-inch 2K display with a 2GHz octa core 64-bit MediaTek processor and other great features.
The tweet also has a riddle which gives out clues as to what the ‘something huge’ really is. It reads ‘Imagine [number][big thing] in space. And then [math term] that by [number].’ This actually points to a One Max 2. The number is obviously ‘One,’ the big thing in space could be attributed to the term ‘max’ and if the math term is ‘plus,’ we’re left with the number 2.
Something HUGE is coming from HTC. Imagine [number][big thing] in space. And then [math term] that by [number]. #Madlib
