The wait for the UltraPixel camera from HTC is finally over as the company has brought the One in India through online retailers and who have pegged its price at Rs. 42,900. Although we haven’t received an official confirmation yet, its release date is slated to fall sometime in this month itself.
The HTC One is a flagship device from the Taiwanese manufacturer and brings a set of new proprietary features. Drenched in shades of silver, black and red, the smartphone arrives encased in a thin form factor measuring 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3 millimeters and tips the scales at around 143 grams. A Super IPS LCD 3 full HD screen of 1920 x 1080p resolution lays claim over the front panel for providing a multi-touch real estate of 4.7 inches. Its pixel density is of 468ppi and a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating is reinforced on top for resisting scratches.
It incorporates an accelerometer, a gyroscope as well as an ambient light sensor and tags along a 2.1MP wide angle lens camera with HDR for video conferencing purposes. The rear side plays host to a 4MP UltraPixel snapper loaded with attributes like LED flash, auto focus, Slow Motion video recording, Zoe, OIS, video stabilization and more. The phone makes the most of the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 garnished with the latest edition of Sense which is responsible for offering an intuitive interface.
Compatible with micro SIM cards, the handset gets steam from a 1.7GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and employs an Adreno 320 GPU for enhanced graphics. There’s 2GB of RAM and 32GB non-expandable onboard memory in the device, and it also offers 25GB of Dropbox storage free of charge. And as for its battery life, it can cough up the juice for talk time of about 27 hours and standby time of about 479 hours in the GSM mode, thanks to a 2300mAh lithium-polymer battery.
The HTC One was revealed first on Saholic.com for the said price. Other online retailers like Infibeam and Snapdeal have also listed the device, but without a retail price.
