We smell an HTC One mini (M4) and Butterfly S release date in the air. What else could those leaked images of both devices be doing if not hinting at imminent launches? A whole bunch of photos of the former as well as the back panel of the latter were recently surfaced through two unofficial sources.
While we did hear rumors about a larger HTC One in the making, a mini version of flagship devices is obviously the order of the day. So we have the M4 which is alleged to sport a 4.3-inch 720p touchscreen and a 4MP main camera with Ultrapixel technology. It apparently crams in a dual core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity. There’s no word on expandable memory space, the battery, front lens and other key specs.
What’s more, the HTC One mini is also touted to arrive with a price tag reading approximately €400. A release date that’s expected to fall sometime in August has also been added to the short list of unofficial details reported by Engadget and sourced from forte.delfi.ee. The Butterfly S has made an appearance yet again, showing off its rear this time around. ePrice has an image of a phone in a pale pink hue and it’s speculated to be the S version of the Droid DNA.
As for the regular-sized version of the M4, it has a 4.7-inch full HD touchscreen and an Ultrapixel camera. It works on Android hijacked by Sense and gets it steam from a 1.7GHz quad core Snapdragon 600 processor. There’s 2GB of RAM onboard as well as 32GB or 64GB memory space. The Butterfly sports a 5-inch full HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 2 and uses a quad core 1.5GHz S4 processor. Other mentions on the specifications sheet include an 8MP camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and up to 32GB microSD card expandability.
So will we be seeing that Butterfly S and One mini M4 anytime soon? It’s going to be a tiresome wait, made even more painful due to the fact that we don’t know how long we’ll be kept waiting.
