There has been no shortage of HTC phones hitting the rumor mill of late and while new devices pop up every now and then, we’re slowly learning more information on handsets already making the rounds. The latest leak revolves around the One M9 Plus smartphone and the A55 which is said to be the new flagship in the Desire series.
Twitter leakster @upleaks who’s responsible for the majority of HTC-related leaks over the months is also the one behind the new information. The post highlights that the One M9 Plus which is also being called by its codename Hima Ultra will come in two versions, one powered by a Snapdragon 810 SOC and the other featuring a 1.5GHz quad core MediaTek SOC.
The phone will be the first from the company to offer a WQHD display, but with a screen size of just 5.2 inches. The image above which was posted online by popular leakster @evleaks allegedly shows the One M9 (left) and its Plus model (right). As you can see, both phones look quite similar, but do have unique features.
The larger handset has a physical home button and is not much taller than the flagship phone, which fits with the new information. In a nutshell, the device will have 3GB of DDR4 RAM, 32GB internal storage, a fingerprint reader, VoLTE and LTE Category 6 connectivity, a 20.7MP + 2.1MP Duo Camera setup on the rear, a 4MP or 13MP front snapper, BoomSound speakers and a 2840mAh battery. The A55 handset is also pretty beefy and it’ll carry a 2K display as well, but with a larger panel.
