HTC One M9 Hima and larger Plus model pictured, there might also be a One M8i

There have been multiple images of the HTC One M9 making the rounds online and while most of them are said to be of the real device, they don’t exactly portray the company’s final design for the upcoming flagship. Well, a new render has surfaced and it comes from a credible source that has been responsible for countless leaks in the past.

Former leak artist @evleaks has posted an image of what is said to be the HTC One M9 and its larger model. The pictures are deemed to be the real deal by many, while the others are basically dummy prototypes and test units with altered designs to throw everyone off. As you can see, the phone paints a familiar picture, but looks very different compared to the current flagship, especially the larger model which has a physical home button which is a common sight on Samsung devices.

Both phones shown in the picture above look quite similar to the HTC D826W which got certified in China a couple of days back. We initially assumed that this handset would end up as the M8 Plus. However, the current situation suggests otherwise.

And who knows, the phone could be a third premium launch if not, just another dummy version. As you probably know, HTC hasn’t really been fond of leaks in the past and this could be its new approach to prevent upcoming devices from getting out early, especially through official channels like China’s TENAA certification website.

So we’ve got two potential flagships under the HTC One M9 lineup incoming, right? Well, let’s add a third model to the roster and this ‘One’ won’t be part of the new series, but will go official as the One M8i with the Snapdragon 615 octa core SOC, says @upleaks.
