HTC One coming to Verizon after all

HTC One

It seems the HTC One is headed to Verizon after all, even though the carrier was nowhere to be found when the phone was launched last month. Then, only a few were mentioned and these include T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint.

That the HTC One is coming to Verizon Wireless has been confirmed to AllThingsD by a source ‘familiar with the situation.’ Apparently, it will launch on said mobile network a month or two after it does on the other carriers in the US. This has been put down to the VZW’s lengthy testing process.

Red And Black Colors

The website points out that this is something of a victory for the Taiwanese manufacturer. It has its flagship device on all 4 major operators in the country, a situation in contrast to last year when two mobile service providers opted not to carry any of the flagship models back then.

But it isn’t too far out to see why. The device offers users so much in terms of functionality, especially with interesting features such as BlinkFeed, BoomSound, the UltraPixel camera and the ability to capture Zoes. And who can count out the beautiful screen and the 1.7GHz processor?

Recently a bit of a controversy was kick-started when it was reported that the phone was facing shipment delays in the UK, an announcement for which came officially from retailer Clove. But the company responded saying that it was still on schedule to deliver the handset to various regions of the world by the end of March at the latest.

BlinkFeed

It cheekily left out exact release dates for regions, instead opting to mention only a launch window. A similar kind of thing was done with the main camera, which although has pixels of larger size, is just in the range of 4MP in resolution.

So with the HTC One coming to Verizon, all four major carriers may get the device. But when can VZW customers expect it? That part hasn’t been revealed yet exactly.
