HTC is hard at work prepping up a mid-range smartphone named the One A9 which has been the subject of many a leak in recent times. This time around, it has surfaced in the form of live photographs that are giving away its iPhone-like appearance.
One of the main observations is that the HTC One A9 does not come with a USB Type-C port. As can be seen in the image down below, it has grabbed the standard micro USB port at its bottom. A no brainier is that it will run the Sense UI built upon the latest Android OS, and even this is visible through the images.
These pictures have surfaced on Weibo (via GSM Arena), and are also indicating that HTC’s trademark BoomSound speakers will be abandoned by this phone. A speaker grill appears to have been placed on the bottom, but it’s hard to verify at the moment due to the low quality of the leaked images.
The One A9 is believed to be the beneficiary a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 pixel full HD monitor. It could be powered by either the Snapdragon 620 chipset or the newly introduced Snapdragon 617 SoC. A 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization support is also expected to make its way onto this device moreover.
Selfie enthusiasts will be pleased to know that HTC has apparently blessed it with a 5MP front snapper. A 2150mAh battery will supposedly be seen powering its innards.
The HTC One A9 would have been unveiled today, if its maker wouldn’t have had a change of plan. We’re not sure now about when it will be choosing to showcase the device next.
