HTC M7 with Sense 5.0 spotted in more leaked images

The HTC M7 has once again been spotted, and this time with Sense 5.0, it is claimed. The device is supposed to be the one that replaces the company’s One X model, even though we saw an updated version in the One X+. In fact, we reported about the same sometime in December last year, and at that time too information was hard to come by.

We even pointed out in that article, that the M7 might just be a placeholder for a different name completely. The December 2012 report also hinted at the device coming with Sense 5.0 which gives this rumor – yes it must still be labeled such – that much more credibility.

Now Android Police has got its hands on a couple of actual screens of the thing; they aren’t simply renders we’ve had to be content with earlier. Apparently these come by way of a handy ‘tipster’ and the web site notes that this could most likely be the final product.

Additionally noted is that the rear of the leaked phone closely resembles the Droid DNA’s, except for the fact that the flash has been moved over to the other side of the camera lens. And another thing – The home button and multi-tasking button have switched positions.

A quick once over of the rear panel and more details appear to jump out. For example, the Beats Audio logo doesn’t have the usual accompanying text and the company name seems to be embossed in glossy black rather that the shiny chrome branding HTC phones come with. Also, there isn’t an FCC logo, further reminding us that this model is not final yet.

Other things can be deduced just from the images. The volume control is on the right side of the phone, for instance. And the camera that faces users – missing in previous renders – has found its place on the top right portion of the device.

So, although the HTC M7 is expected to come with the company’s new Sense 5.0 UI, it should be noted that there have been issues with the enhanced layer in the past.
