The One series already has an X and now it’s time for the HTC Desire X to make an appearance too. But it’s actually not the first time we’re getting a glimpse of this particular handset. Think of the Proto, pronto.
The official announcement confirms some of the specifications which were leaked earlier. To begin with, the smartphone has a 4-inch screen of the Super LCD WVGA type. The camera strapped onto the back panel is indeed a 5MP one and it is powered by the company’s home brewed ImageChip technology.
The snapper is outfitted with an f2.0, 28mm wide angle lens with a BSI sensor. It features automatically adjustable flash and the HDR mode. There’s a Continuous Shooting mode for clicking several images of fast action scenes for that perfect picture, VideoPic for taking a still while shooting and AF with Always Focus.
HTC Desire X is an extension of your social life,” expressed Jason Mackenzie, President, Global Sales and Marketing for HTC. “If you’re looking to enjoy and share high quality multimedia, wherever you are, this is the phone for you. It not only looks and sounds great, but also provides a super-fast, highly personal mobile experience at a great price.”
Also, the new Desire is an Android 4.0 device which runs with the help of a 1GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor. It even comes with Bluetooth, 4GB onboard space and 25GB free Dropbox storage. Not impressed so far? Well, at least HTC may have music lovers breaking into a jig with the inclusion of the inescapable Beats Audio technology.
With regards to the HTC Desire X price and release date, sketchy information on the latter bit is all we’re getting. The phone is anticipated to reach EMEA and Asia Pacific markets this September.
