Although the HTC Desire VC India availability was already announced through online retailer Snapdeal, the company has now officially released the smartphone in the country in association with Tata Docomo. The dual SIM phone boasts of being the first ICS-based device to let users experience HSIA internet.

The CDMA smartphone with GSM support belonging to the Desire lineup by HTC, entered the country close on the heels of the Desire V and the Desire C. Powered by the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform, this handset’s interactive interface can be attributed to Sense 4.0. It wears a 4-inch touchscreen on the front panel and allows users to easily switch between networks.

“As a well received dual-technology telecom service provider in India, the addition of a Smartphone like the HTC Desire VC to our existing portfolio of products and services is an important step in strengthening our offerings to consumers in the CDMA & GSM space. Our pan-India reach, supported by the traditionally strong speeds on TTL’s cutting-edge Photon network, will provide users with an exceptional voice and data communication experience and provide great value for discerning voice customers,” stated Sunil Tandon, Head Non Voice Services, Tata Docomo.
