If you’re still in doubt whether the HTC Desire Eye and One M8 Eye are different smartphones or not, the latest sightings should clear things up for you. Both handsets have been spotted making their way to India and their prices have been revealed as well.
PhoneArena has come across both handsets on the Indian import-export database Zauba where the names HTC Desire Eye and One M8 Eye have been mentioned in different listings. While this confirms the monikers, prices have also been disclosed where the former is said to cost Rs 31490 (around $350) and the latter Rs 27035 (approximately $440).
These values are obviously excluding any taxes, so expect to see them get hiked at launch. The Desire Eye (pictured above) is the company’s selfie-focused smartphone. While the competition has devices with 5MP front snappers, HTC has gone a step further and fitted a 13MP sensor on the handset’s face with dual LED flash.
The phone will be the first high-end offering in the Desire series as it packs a 1080p display and a beefy 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset. Coming to the One M8 Eye (pictured below), this handset is merely a variant of the original where the UltraPixel sensor has been replaced with a 13MP snapper, in the same Duo Camera setup.
