HP Z1 Workstation begins shipping world over

The HP Z1 Workstation was announced earlier this year and now the gadget has finally hit stores for all the eager beavers out there. This rig comes with an AIO design that should allow users to seamlessly make upgrades and access the internal hardware sans any tools.

The setup is complete with a wide LED backlit display spanning 27 inches diagonally, which proffers resolutions of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It also boasts of a 178-degree viewing angle and an IPS panel. Besides customizable hardware options of the Nvidia Quadro graphics card and the Intel Xeon quad core chip, its compatibility with the latest industry applications may probably have professionals giving it a second glance.

“We’ve been visiting customers around the globe, in industries from automotive to audio and video, and the response is overwhelmingly positive, with comments like ‘it’s insanely cool’ and ‘just the right size’,” shares Jim Zafarana, vice president and general manager, Commercial Solutions Business Unit, HP. “Customers say they’re impressed with the combination of accelerated performance and design that’s not available on any other product in the market today.”

Users can opt for a 7.3K or a 10K SATA storage solution amongst other customizable choices such as optional RAID configurations, a slot-load Blu-ray writer, HDDs, a 4-in-1 media card reader and much more. The setup also incorporates the SRS Premium Sound enhancement with dual-cone front-facing stereo speakers for audiophiles and a 2MP HD webcam to stay connected via video conferencing.

The HP Z1 Workstation price starts at $1,899 and it is now available from a number of retailers and resellers.
